1) Wikipedia is an online encyclopedia where people write articles using wikis. Anyone around the world can edit content anytime, anywhere, anytime. Because of its good accessibility, it has the advantage of being able to find information easily and quickly by searching for curious content. In Wikipedia, there are rules for adding footnotes and photos.
Wikipedia is the most popular reference in the world. Understanding Wikipedia is the ability to understand where most of the information in the modern world comes from. Wikipedia is increasingly influencing our lives and cultures and is like understanding key parts of our modern life and culture. The way Wikipedia is operated is very unique because it is run by people. Such attractions are used more by people. Wikipedia is used by many companies and government agencies, so Wikipedia can certainly make a good impression on future employers. As people use Wikipedia to find information, the process will inevitably improve their ability to search for it. Wikipedia allows us to learn when to trust and discard information.
Wikipedia is a community, but it is a community formed through practice, action, and collaboration. Writing Wikipedia requires the knowledge and time of many people. People spend their time to write articles on Wikipedia in the spirit of service. It is a very interdependent activity.
2) I used Wikipedia frequently to find various information when doing assignments, and it was surprising to find out that the information was the result of the efforts of many people. I was naturally easily accessible in my daily life, but I was also grateful that this was the result of someone's time being invested.
3) However, if anyone can correct Wikipedia as there are disadvantages if there are advantages, there is a good chance that someone will correct it with incorrect information. In this case, someone else may acquire incorrect information and cause misunderstanding. As it is highly accessible to everyone, I think there is a clear problem with reliability. Who should I blame for recognizing false information? Who should I hold accountable? This is a problem we have to constantly think about to prevent the spread of misinformation. As Wikipedia is a cooperative online community, I think people should use Wikipedia in a cautious manner.
